We send out a ton of emails about marketing, technique and helping you achieve a level to be the best window tinter possible and learning a new skill
But the one question I always get, and we don't talk about much is "Why I became a Window Tinter" and decided to go down this career path.
My main goal is to help aspiring Tinters like yourself succeed, and give you a platform to do so, which is the Tint Academy. When I learned window tinting years ago, we didn't have the resources, so I wanted to change that, being the first and only Window Education course where are focus is you - and not pushing a film product
So here are the top 3 reasons why I became a Window Tinter
1) Freedom.
Being a window tinter allowed me to make my schedule. I still tint 3-4 vehicles per day, but its on my schedule. We signed up our 18 month old daughter for swimming lessons this year at 9:30am every day - Being a tinter allowed me to block my day, and be in the pool with her every single day - I am the only father at each swimming lesson.

2) Financial.
I was working in an engineering securities firm out of University, working 12 hours per day, at a desk making $12 per hour. At nights and weekends - I would tint. Making more in a weekend than I would all week at the firm. Working part-time, making over $100,000 per year was normal. We break it down how you can do it here: CLICK HERE
I work with tinters everyday that make there side hustle or passion into a full business and are financially rewarded for it. There is a ton of money in the market
3) Overhead
Window tinting is incredibly low overhead. I made the most amount of money, being mobile in my little Hyundai going to dealerships and customer homes. Tools, film, and gas - all over $1000 start-up. In fact, 15 years ago, I originally invested in a restaurant out of the USA to bring to Canada, it would have cost me hundreds of thousands, was a huge risk, and my payoff wasn't great. With Window Tinting, $1000 and a few ads you can get started with the right skill set. (we decided not to go that route and stick the being a window tinter, and I think it worked out :) )
4) Skillset.
What attracted me the most is Window Tinting is a skill where you can take anywhere in the world. In fact, in my career I have tinted in: Manila, Jordan, Florida, Cayman Islands and Singapore.
I am not stuck to a specific region with licensing and rules. In facet, we were on Vacation and I was bored, so I worked at a local tint shop doing a few cars in the Caribbean last year
So what is stoping you from Financial freedom, low over head and a skill you can take anywhere in the world?
