Another Tint Academy class is in the books in Los Angeles, California. Our latest 2-day window tint course took over the shop floor at COGARAGE in El Monte, and the students spent it the way every Tint Academy class is meant to be spent: hands-on, with real film, on real vehicles. Watch the recap below.

Inside the Class: Hands-On From Start to Finish
This wasn't two days of sitting in a classroom watching someone else tint. In the video you can see students working directly on vehicles in the bay, including a dark SUV, a grey crossover and a white car, with instructors right beside them.
Students prepped the glass, kept the film and windows wet with their spray bottles, and worked the film into place with a squeegee. That's the same routine a professional installer runs on every job: clean prep, plenty of slip solution and firm squeegee strokes to push out water and air. Practicing it again and again on real cars is what turns the technique into muscle memory.
The class wrapped up the best way possible: a group photo under the COGARAGE banner, with every student holding their Tint Academy certificate.
What the Tint Academy Course Covers
Tint Academy runs 2-day, hands-on window tint and PPF certification courses across Canada and the USA, using Scorpion film. Most of the course is spent practicing with instructor guidance, including:

- Roll-down, quarter and rear windows on sedans, hatchbacks, trucks and SUVs
- Tint removal
- Contamination prevention, edge finishing and avoiding bubbles
- Pricing, quoting and finding your first customers
Learning doesn't stop when Day 2 ends. Students get online training they can go back to while they keep practicing at home, plus ongoing support from the Tint Academy team.
