Window tint instructor guiding students applying film to a car window during hands-on training

Looking for a window tint school in Orlando? Tint Academy USA's next Orlando classes are 2-day, hands-on Window Tint Certifications on November 7–8, 2026 and December 12–13, 2026 (9:00 AM–5:00 PM each day) at Owner's Pride Auto Spa, 8340 Southpark Cir #140, Orlando, FL 32819. Regular tuition is $1,299, with a limited $996 Early-Bird full-pay price when you contact the team first. You keep a professional tool kit and a 100 ft. roll of ceramic film, and you leave certified.

This guide covers the class details, what you'll practice each day, pricing, the Florida tint rules every new installer should know, and how to book. If you're in Kissimmee, Winter Park, Sanford, Clermont or anywhere in Central Florida and want to learn window tinting, these are the closest upcoming Tint Academy classes.

Orlando Window Tint Certification: Class Details

  • Dates: Saturday–Sunday, November 7–8, 2026, or Saturday–Sunday, December 12–13, 2026
  • Hours: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM each day
  • Venue: Owner's Pride Auto Spa Orlando, 8340 Southpark Cir #140, Orlando, FL 32819
  • Format: 2 full days, about 80% hands-on, on real vehicles, in a small group
  • Experience needed: None. The course teaches the process from the beginning.

Training groups are intentionally limited. Smaller classes mean more time working directly with instructors, asking questions, practicing installations and correcting mistakes during training, instead of watching from the sidelines.

What You'll Learn Over Two Days

Day 1: Foundations and Side Windows

  • Tint theory and fundamentals, and working with customers
  • Installation drills
  • Framed roll-down windows (2-stage) and frameless roll-down windows
  • Quarter windows
  • Tint removal, sun strips and banners
  • Marketing and business fundamentals

Day 2: Rear Windows and Complete Vehicles

  • Review and additional hands-on practice on roll-down and quarter windows
  • Hatchback and sedan rear window preparation and installation
  • Rear window tint removal
  • Trucks and SUVs
  • Plotter overview and an introduction to residential window film
  • Marketing, pricing and booking customers

Across both days you'll also work on glass cleaning and vehicle preparation, film types and film handling, hand cutting, heat shrinking, bottom-loading, multiple installation methods, contamination prevention, edge finishing, and how to avoid bubbles and other common installation mistakes.

Watch: How to Hand Cut Window Tint

Hand cutting is one of the core skills taught in Orlando. Even with plotters becoming more common, knowing how to create and cut your own patterns gives you a foundation you can use on almost any vehicle. In this Tint Academy tutorial, you'll see the step-by-step process for cutting a side window pattern on the outside of the glass: the bottom cut, the side cuts, rolling the window down to expose the top edge, and finishing a clean top line.

Florida Window Tint Laws Every New Installer Should Know

Florida customers often ask for tint to deal with heat, glare, UV exposure and privacy, so you need to know the legal limits before you quote a job. Here's what the Florida Statutes say:

  • Front side windows (beside or forward of the driver): film must have a visible light transmittance of at least 28% and a reflectance of no more than 25%, tested on the specific vehicle (s. 316.2953).
  • Windows behind the driver: at least 15% light transmittance with no more than 35% reflectance. Multipurpose passenger vehicles (such as SUVs and vans) may go as low as 6% (s. 316.2954).
  • Rear window: if it's made nontransparent, the vehicle must have side mirrors on both sides.
  • Windshield: only a transparent strip at the top is allowed, and it can't extend into the AS-1 area of the windshield (s. 316.2952).

Sun strips and windshield banners are part of Day 1, so you'll practice exactly the kind of top strip Florida allows. This is general information, not legal advice; always check the current statutes before each job.

Watch: Removing Old Tint the Right Way

Plenty of Florida vehicles already have old, bubbling or faded film, and tint removal is on both days of the course. In this video, Tint Academy walks through a professional removal using steam, dealing with leftover adhesive, and why you should ask every customer whether the vehicle already has aftermarket film before you quote, so removal time is priced in instead of done for free.
