Our latest window tint training class in Nashville is in the books. On October 31 and November 1, 2026, Tint Academy USA and Scorpion Window Film held a 2-day hands-on window tint certification course at Late Garage in La Vergne, TN, just outside Nashville. The photo above shows the graduating class with their certificates in front of our Tint Academy × Scorpion Window Film Nashville Certification wall.
If you are looking for window tint certification in Tennessee, here is what the class worked on, what comes with the training, and how to grab a seat at an upcoming course, including our next Nashville class on December 19–20, 2026.
Two Days of Hands-On Window Tint Training in Nashville
Our courses are not two days of sitting in a classroom watching someone else tint. About 80% of the time is spent installing, cutting, shrinking, removing and finishing film on real vehicles with an instructor beside you. Over the weekend, students worked through:
- Glass cleaning, vehicle preparation and contamination prevention
- Window film types, film handling and hand cutting
- Roll-down, framed, frameless and quarter windows
- Heat shrinking for sedan and hatchback rear windows, trucks and SUVs
- Bottom-loading, 2-stage installation and other installation methods
- Tint removal, including rear window removal
- Sun strips, windshield banners and edge finishing
- How to avoid bubbles and common installation mistakes
- Business, pricing and marketing basics for getting your first customers
Rear windows are where most new tinters struggle, so we spend real time on them. Above, a student heat shrinks film on the curved rear glass of an SUV in the shop bay. Here is one of the quick back-window tips we share with students:
